I like the way this song plays out in that it starts off with what sounds like some hyped up guy just starting his own wild and crazy song, much like we all do.
What I mean to say is he just sings "white light" and makes the guitar, bass, and drum noises all with his mouth, as though he's forming it, and then what he is thinking slowly comes to life as the instruments actually start to appear...
Anyways, onto the song's meaning.
As much as I hate to say it, b/c I know its been said often and has pissed off a lot of people, I have to say that this song sounds like a song about cocaine or some sort of drug, maybe even just alcohol (b/c he says alcohol). If anyone has bought the CD, look on the inside jacket cover, it shows some drunk bum holding up what looks to be a new type of energy drink but it says something like 500 ml, 100% proof. If anyone knows ANYTHING about alcohol, the proof is how much alcohol is in said volume, well 100% means...ITS ALL ALCOHOL.
Hell, the more I think about it, the more I feel its about drinking and what not, but I keep wanting to say cocaine b/c thats the only thing that I can think of that can be described as a "white light". But perhaps i'm trying to be too literal...
