I found this song really easy to interpretate, but then again my view is different from others. In my opinion, he has a female friend he cares alot about (not in love with, but you know how you care about your friends) and she has been through something harsh, obviously rape in this case, and from all the pain she feels from that incident she is turning to self harm and suicide. And basically he's trying to talk her out of it, and give her the better side of life that he as a friend can provide for her. He's recalling all the great times they had together and all the great memories they made, and saying that he'll always be there for her to rely on no matter what happens.
