Shes young but has a crap upbringing and turns to drugs or alcohol to make the feelings go away...
The line, where it says i am alive i am free... i believe is a reference to the drug she is taking makes her forget everything.... every one telling her to stop and that is where the line..... turn a blind eye to all the faces that you know... makes sense.
