I might be wayyy off here.. but I have this feeling that it's about the first summer apart. Two people-- lovers?-- having to seperate. They don't want anything to change between them. Not their relationship.. not eachother's personalities. NOTHING! One of them is thinking that it's a way safer idea to just spend the summer together in San Deigo, but the other one isn't going for it.
I don't really know.. alright.
