the song reminds me of, "Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober." Maybe it's a call to wake up in life, to not fall asleep like so many do as they fall into the monotiny of life. It's as if we are all being lulled into that tired state that we will ourselves not to be in.
