actually, any oppressive institution is refered to as babylon. and in a lot of reggae its jamaica they're talking about. marley was from jamaica, not from america. his family was taken from africa to jamaica where they were enslaved, not to america. and all other forms of religion are babylonian institutions... the government, the man... babylon refers to all sorts of things. not just america...... just so ya know.
