I wanted to add another comment about this song, because I think it every time I hear it.
To me, every time I hear this song - I always get the impression that it is kinda Nick's song about Tiger Army.
Like I still think the song was inspired by Lovecraft and all that.
But when I listen to it, it's like Nick is saying that Tiger Army is his way of making his mark on society.
Think about it -
Tiger Army has basicly always been Nick 13.
He didn't have any band members when he first was signed to Hellcat. He writes all the music and the lyrics.. (I know the other members did help some) but deep down it's really Nick's band.
It's always just him, but he continues to keep Tiger Army alive... even when he looses members.
I think this song is just saying that as long as he can keep Tiger Army alive, he will always feel like he has some immortallity.
