i had a friend who i was incredibly close to and suddenly he decided it'd be cool to start doin drugs and i didn't really have a problem with it until he completely changed himself and lost a lot of true friends...i would talk to him every once in a while and he'd try to act tough and fine but really he was miserable...he broke many hearts of his friends who actually cared about him...really really hard situation

but i think this song is kind of similar to that
