Cover art for Shake the Sheets lyrics by Ted Leo and the Pharmacists

This is an anti-war song on the somewhat anti-war \"Shake the Sheets\" album. \"Shake the sheets\" was a derogatory reference to the bombing of Afghanistan, with \"sheets\" in reference to the American perception of traditional Islamic clothing. I like this line: \"When will we find a chord as resonant as to shake the sheets and make us move?\" It\'s shameful that the majority can only mobilize based on racism, manipulation of the media and/or violence. The whole song expresses Leo\'s disdain for the war and the disillusionment and frustration with the way mainstream society reacted to it.
