I ain´t no redneck but I still love this song. It rocks! But: I actually can`t believe, that I do like the song despite the lyrics. I mean what the .... does this message lead us to? Round em up, hang em high in the street, leave the bodies to be seen so that all the othe evildoers will see whats gonna happen if they don´t abide by the rules? And whose rules? It sounds so goddamned simple and that is what makes this message so fucking dangerous. You know, if I stop thinking and just listen to my stomach I can go with what is said. Yeah, sure, put them down, he stole a car so hang him and so on and so on. What century are we living in? This is not the west in mid 18th century. I actually apreciate a LOT, that I´m given the chance to explain my case to a court of law, in case that I´d be accused of whatever, never happend to me though. I really wonder what kind of justice that would be if whisky drinking men on beer drinking horses had the chance to "Send ’em all to their maker and he’ll settle ’em down "!
