Because so many are "dead" set on getting it right i will add that this song is about the metaphorical and not the physical act of suicide. As you read the lyrics you cannot help but think it may have been the authors intent to draw a parallel between a catatonic state and suicide. What is incongruous to me is having so many people post how "stupid" it is to concider this song to be about suicide when it has not been conciderd in any post. Maybe by posting "stupid" and "true fan" before any mention of a misinterpretation you are telling us that at some point you were corrected.
