This song is about fakers, and how hollow and empty their lives really are. The chorus lists things like that.....that seem sweet but really are of no real value or substance. when the music quiets and michael sings alone "this sugarcane this lemonade, this hurricane i'm not afraid....this lightning storm, this tidal wave" etc, that's the naked truth. Underneath it hurts to be fake and not know who you are outside of what you want others to see. It's too hard to keep up, and it's not real. it's only an imitation of life. can anyone see my point on this?
