I was told that the line "visions of her hair will keep me warm" comes from one of Hemingway's works. After an extensive google search, I can't find any connection. I wish I was a literature freak so I could see for myself all the literary connections in songs that I normally miss.
Anyway, "Brooklyn" is a beautiful song about a man following a girl and it seems to me that he hasn't given up even after a restraining order. It makes me chuckle.
