I agree with a few of the earlier comments. this song is intense. But to me it is about the intensity of love. That the singer hasn't been with the one they love for a while and then, suddenly, in the middle of this awful accident, the only person they think of is the one they love. Imagine someone calling you out of the blue and telling you that in the middle of a car accident they the only thing they could think of was that the two of you never had enough time.
