--Four more years of War is Peace, Ignorance is Strength and Slavery is Freedom-- a reference to 1984 by George Orwell, and how despite claims that his book completely missed the time gap it set out our society is moving towards one that might be found within the book at an alarming rate
--May all your interventions be "Humanitarian"-- the USA has intervened in pretty much every corner of the world, to serve it’s own political capitalist agenda. Each time, however, it seems to suggest it is intervening for “humanitarian” reasons – to save the world from “communists”, to protect “democracy” (by rigging elections and coercing people to vote right-wing they are protecting democracy, obviously)
--Four more years of pay-to-play politics, power and influence-- the two main capitalist parties are both backed by numerous corporate sponsors that fund the parties in order to have policies that suit their businesses carried out
--Four more years of legalized bribery and served corporate interests-- the corporate funding is completely legal, though obviously it is only to ensure that the governments policies favour the businesses
--So vote for Tweedle-dum or Tweedle-dee-- both sides of the political spectrum, Democrat and Republican, essentially follow the same neo-conservative policies. They are both corporately backed and funded capitalist parties with interests only for themselves and their big-business sponsors
--and a framework of debate narrowed for you courtesy of the ultra-rich-- the media can control how people think by only broadcasting information that favours the ruling party’s line. If people don’t know what’s happening they can’t object to it. The money can be used to buy over the media and consolidate the power of those with it. Only one side of the argument is shown and it is shown in a positive light
--and a media that filters out any voice that challenges their power-- The media will not want to lose it’s influence and is perfectly positioned to protect it through censorship
--like Nader bounced in Boston by State-Troopers because he don't speak for oil-tycoons and bankers-- this is an example of this censorship working as Nader is against the big-business profit driven ruling class, and speaks for the people. This could be dangerous to the oil-tycoons and others so by buying-off the authorities to send in the troops to silence him they can protect their position and “integrity”
--whose pursuit of happiness and liberty demands a rhetoric of fear-- the elite and media give out terror warnings as it is known that when people are afraid they can be made to agree to many measures to believe they are being protected. These measures include things like the Patriot Act, measures that are designed to restrict civil liberties and give the government great control over the people to make sure they can deal with any potential dissent and make it incredibly difficult to reject the government in power
--to be the litmus test for viable heirs to-- a test that relies on a single indicator – if you can keep the country afraid and doing your bidding you can keep in power and the ruling class will keep their position
--the phony drug-wars-- they have used the “war on drugs” as an excuse to get rid of political opponents and a tool of fear. For example, Manuel Noreiga was a key CIA informer and for years they used to ignore, even help him with, his narco-trafficking. However, as soon as he ceased to serve a political purpose they used the “war on drugs” to get rid of him
--the trumped-up rogue-states-- “the united states is good. We try to do our best everywhere” Madeline Allbright. The US parades around acting like the peacekeeper that no-one wants when it is only enforcing and supporting it’s own position
--the permanence of a war-economy-- there’s nothing like a war economy to help revive (more cover-up) the fact that your economy is headed for collapse ($3.3 trillion debt.. woah). A war economy is permanent in the fact that there will always be custom as fighting countries will need arms and the like, all that can be continually supplied for by the USA
--I feel less hopeful-- the situation has gone so far that after all the interventions in the past have helped to strengthen the USA’s position into one that seems unassailable, a feeling of futility and hopelessness that the situation can ever be resolved hits
--and less human-- this isn’t the humane way things should be resolved, it detracts from personal humanity to be supporting this kind of action..
--as I'm reduced to nothing more than cheering on embassy bombings-- ..but it seems that nothing else will work so we are resigned to a shameful feeling of pleasure when an embassy is attacked, as has happened in Africa
--as the liars pave their way through four more years..-- all the interventions and politics of fear are measures to “pave the way” for the elite and ultra-rich to continue in power and to continue their supreme position of personal benefit
