This song is simply brilliant. People say it's nonsense, it's brilliant. First of all, the "chopstick" line. It's awkward. But if you've ever tried eating with two chopsticks, imagine what possessing only one must be like. Ok, seriously now, this song plays on the old superstition, doesn't it? But it's cracks in the pavement so it's like a metaphor to me for the sentiment "Something on my mind breaking open doors I sealed up before". It's fairly simple, not poetry, but it paints a picture of someone who is a little nutty but also is experiencing the shattering of their world from the inside. I'm much too serious about this I guess.
