This is a very pretty song. When I first saw this video, I thought to myself, "Who is this girl? She's fricking gorgeous!" I had no clue it was Chantal! I loved the whole imagery of the video, it was so easy to tell that she was aching for this "Wayne" and wanted to be with him/her.
When I listen to this song, I think about my grandmother who passed away a few years ago. I love the chorus that goes "Wait for me, take me up in your hot air ballon and feed me cotton candy", it makes me think about getting away to a place where it's peaceful and perfect (ie. up in a hot air ballon, looking down)
The last part of the chorus:
"Pray for me
'Cause I'll be there in a couple of years
Until then, wait for me."
Not to be incredibly morbid or anything, but I think about death when I hear this. When I'm feeling crappy, I think about how great it'll be when I see my grandmother again. That's just my take on this song.
