Yea, riley is the one whos non-christian, which is ironic seeing as how HE IS GOD ON THE DRUMS!
But i think this song is about mans strugle against a greater power, "we shot the sun from the sky", kill what we dont wanna let control us
"we dug the body up, and drank the golden blood, and light shone from our eyes, but it was not enough, for we still dream of DEICIDE"
clearly, we took its power and still it was not enough, mankind simply cannot accept control, it has to be the higher power, thats our biggest problem, ohh and "i smile when i am alone, and shed a tear for the brass" it shows how we sin, with the hopes that we can just redeem ourselfs in the end, thats the thought that kills us, christian or not, you can realate to that.
