but this is what i like on liars - they let you interpret their lyrics your own way. with "they were wrong so we drowned" they created a scary, and at the same time grotesque and absurd world that's not only about witches and wizards, but has many allegorical and actual meanings. even if it sounds sometimes like nonsense, there is an intense power behind it that captures you...

i absolutely love these lines - it feels like a totally absurd desperation of being a man, and the desire to break away from the bonds of it - and become something innocent, impeccable and noble, like a horse, for example... it's just a feeling i often have, but is sort of hard to describe...
