I think at heart, Jesus Christ superstar is more about the story from Judas' view than a retelling of the crucifixion. I think that by far the best version was a movie done of this rock opera that was made in 1973, its got ecxellent symbollism as well as brilliant preformers. The man playing Judas for instance, Simon Lewis, was in my opinion the best one, and no one has been able to match him yet.
