'I'm still confusing love with need' might be that whoever is growing or making him, he thinks he loves them but actually he just needs them because he has a childlike independency...and sometimes he just gets sick of it 'i'd love to pull the wires from the wall' but again, he needs them so he can't leave. He's afraid of them, he thinks he loves them, but he needs them.
