I've had some people make jokes about the whole emotional tones in this song and the title 'Sleep little Nemo' (as in 'Sleep little nEMO'). I've never really appreciated this song as much as now since I've just read the lyrics! I think being able to read the lyrics along with the song gives it this whole new dimension... I can hear this narrative/story instead of just a song by Trophy Scars.
To me, it seems as if the vocal is telling us a story about a guy called Nemo. It seems as if he just murdered a loved one:
The cops will find a horrific sight
Of Nemo's bride
I think the song alternates between the imperson, narrator and what must have gone on in Nemo's head after the murder, how he doesn't have an alibi for the murder, how he left evidence that connects the murdered and him, how he has to get rid of the evidence and all that. He must have been pretty desperate about not wanting to get caught, but since there's so much evidence tying up between him and the crime, he's contemplating on jumping to his death so that he could sleep.
There's reference to Houdini the Great and I think that supports the whole idea of wanting to just easily disappear to get out of a tricky situation like Nemo's.
