there is a reason that some songs kinda of have a long ending. this one is a almost perfect example. the song itself is a somewhat depressing song, having to say goodbye to a friend, possibly girlfriend. (i think its cause he had to leave for the military after watching the video for "time and time again", and relating it to the way i feel cause ill be leaving for the military myself but hey maybe its just me.) because it is a somewhat sad song the ending has meanin to make it mellow and strung out not in a bad way but as to not just end it abruptly. the song wouldnt nearly be the same and feel the same if the song did just end. the unique sound at the end brings the song to a true end, a end with true feeling.
