How is it silly to think it might be about God? Trent was raised in a Christian household and even flirted with Christianity at one point in his younger years. If you've ever had any sort of relationship/understanding with the Lord you'd know it's not something you can totally blank out of your thought process. No matter if you are angry at him or choose to ignore/not believe him Him. The Fragile is a really introspective album that I feel touches on a lot of Trent's softer more vulnerable emotions. During the writing process when Trent was really searching deep he may have unearthed his connection with God and thus we have what's "underneath it all". Underneath all of the hardness, despair, and self-searching for all these years is it somehow laughable to assume that Trent may have had a weak moment wherein he breifly heard God's call?

@Jumpy-B-L I like the interpretation but I have to say you sound kinda biased... it would be easy to argue with it when it's put forward from such a seemingly religious perspective.
