last year this song basically kept me sane when i was really starting to lose it, of course being me, it seems like he's singing about me
i think my idea of it might be quite a bit different because i wasn't all too with it at the time i grew attached to it, but this is what it means to me:
there is this girl that he sees lost in a world she doesn't want to be in and she wants to get out of where she is. he realizes this because he's been through it before and he's trying to tell her that he will be there for her and do anything/be anything she needs and if she hurts him he won't let her now so she won't get upset and not to give herself up for other people's wants.
