God I love this song, I first heard it on The OC, bought his CD, its terrific, went and saw him in concert, Patrick Park is a genius. I think its about someone that is rough around the edges, he "got nothing to lose" and he has a lot on him "too muchg wait for walking shoes" he is depressed, angry, bitter. And nothing is happening in his life for him "could have died from being boring." People don't pay he too much attention "at the most I'm a glare." His family is either very distant from him or very overbearing on him "hopeless son thats hardly there." He really wants to open up and let someone in, he wants help but he can;t bring himself to show that he needs it. "I’m the open sign that’s always busted." Then even if he lets you in he will test you and hurt you because he is "the friend you need but can't be trusted."
I just had a lot to say about this song because its pretty much a biography of my life it desrcibe everything I had gone through and everything I am still going through and the fact that he could convey all that in a song is brilliant to me.
