In it he says he doesn't want to wake up one day and find out it is too late to do all the things he wants to do, so he's going to packup and leave. The song is about taking chances and doing the things in life that you want to do. All he is saying is he doesn't want to become old without seeing the world and experiencing things. It's not suicide, but the opposite, it's about living your life to the fullest.
