What I thought at first was that the writter struggled with a sexual addiction that he had trouble controling. Hence the "Greedy Hands" and "Just sit back and be an American". When he sings "Its gone, my inocence" he could be refering to his sexual inocence, whether it be his virginity or just his thoughts and mind. "Thief in the night, do you even remember my name" struck me as being how sex can be very impersonal if taken outside of mariage.
Ive never quite understood what the "Young Judas" could mean. It may have a completely different meaning than what I got out of it, but we all have different views.
