Here's a parallel I was noticing.. but maybe i'm way off.
The Beatles had the line "Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be...whisper words of wisdom, let it be."
Tool says "Mother Mary won't you whisper
something but what's past and done?"
there's also the parallel between being sober, and accepting life as it is rather than having to change your state of being using drugs or alcohol, and on the other hand the beatles telling us to let it be, and that there will be an answer. I thought they seemed to go together. Tell me what youthink!
