This is a great song but it is really brought to life by Matt's incredible voice and singing ability. My theory is that its about being in a tight spot in your life and needing to get out but having a difficult time doing so. I know that Matt tried a few hard drugs before Skeletons was recorded and I think he wrote this about the short lived drug phase that he needed to quit. I can totally relate to the lyrics since I've been in bad spots before too.
