I know NOTHING about the Everly Brothers.
The reason I am here to interpret this song is because my favourite band A-ha (go check 'em out...they rock!) did a cover version of this, and i am a big believer in crediting the original artists of every song.....Here goes:
This is a beautifull song, and so often I've felt this way myself, but I am nowhere near as noble.
It's about a young man who, after having his love rejected by his sweetheart, cannot stop himself from crying.
But since he loves her so much, and refuses to let her see how she has effected him, for fear of upseting her. He says he will spend his days outside in the rain while he crys, so as to hide the fact.
Quite wonderfull. Such a shame life isnt like that anymore.....WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO ROMANCE FOLK!!!????
