OK so I think that this song is about a heroin addict.... "hair aflame wild look in your eyes....a forest fire nibbles at your veins, crawls up your arm runs away with your mind"....thats about shooting up and getting high...And "eyes stare out but somethings in the way" If you've ever seen someone on heroin its an accurate description...and the references to God I think have to do with the fact that most people have a very finite understanding of God and they feel that everything bad that happens to them is because of God and that he's just supposed to just sweep down and save us ....but i think people should stop blaming God because if they understood anything about him they would understand that he left man to his own free will and that he offers unconditional love to everyone weither you choose to accept it or not
