Sealion Lyrics

Corporate drones. Suit and ties. The "sealion" does tricks for the "master" (God or CEO). There seems a deliberate blurring of lines here in that this song appears on an album still influenced by the God motif. Yet it seems clearly about a day in the life of a corporate "lifer".

This song is about their life on the road. The dirty gray horses are their buses. They make references to the big top (arenas), burning deck (stage, maybe with pyrotechnics), and the "same performance". All the while they realize the sacrifices they must make, the big pay days, the users around them, and the knowledge that someday it will all be over (make no pin cushion of this big balloon). Very well written, like every other song on this record.
