I love this song, it's absolutely beautiful.

I'm not sure it's about a child visiting his grandfather, so much as Guy Garvey revisiting his childhood memories.

"And my sister buzzes through the room Leaving perfume in the air And that's what triggered this"

  • smell is regarded as the sense most associated with triggering memories. Later in life he smells the same pefrume smell, which sets him off thinking of times past.
