For me, this song might have to do with a father figure. Tigers are depicted in a vast amount of ways, so it's hard to say, but what we can say is that tigers are mystifying, silent and fearful creatures. At first I thought it wasn't about a person at all but an idea, and not a happy one, but she needs it to feel good but now I'm sure whatever it is, Katie feels like it keeps the darkness contained in her dreams.
