Marijuana, and others...And it seems that he's looking at it from an addicts perspective and saying, '"I should quit, 'cause it isn't fun any more. But I can't 'cause the drug has control over me. I started it to get away, to hide from my problems, to have fun, and get relaxed...But now, it's punishing me, destroying me...And what can I do? How can I stop?"' So, he's a slave to it now...And the end of the song just leaves you hanging there, which is classic for an addict...They become a slave to their drug, and are stuck there until they hit bottom.
