I think, it's obvious he's missing someone when he talks about 'waiting for the phone to ring' and he says he sitting next to the phone so maybe he feels he's been waiting too long.
'I sing this song to you' he wants who ever he's talking about to know how he feels, and I guess he wasn't the right person for who he's talking about 'I'm sorry i wasn't what you're looking for' And 'you just don't get it', possibly, means that he thinks he IS the right person, they just can't see that. 'life is always better after the fall', life is gonna be better now for him, and could be for who he's talking about if this person would just give it the chance.
'peices are raing down on me' , could be that 'peices' are the realizations of whats happened and thats where 'after all you've done to me' comes from. Now he sees what's really going on (the realizations) so 'won't wait, i can't beleive in...anything at all' is showing how possibly he can't beleive what he's realizing or that he can't beleive in this person ever really coming back/beleive in them changing for the better. 'after all the pain you've caused..' he knows the horrible thing's this person has caused, most likely for him, but he still can't help but feel for them, and he still has hope. I think he hates that.

the last lines i think mean he wants you to see what the worst can look like, and he's willing to be your everything, and he wants you o have everything, but he's hopefull 'set up and ready to fall'
