Well, the bible is being disproven if you take it for face value. A lot of people believe that the bible was written so that people of the time could understand it. If you told someone back then that God may have started the earth through evolution, or something else, they would think you're a looney. You have to remember, people of those times had the education of probably a 3rd grader.
God cannot be proven, nor disproven, that's where faith comes in. Life is nothing but tests and trials, and the prize comes depending on how well we've done.
