the first little part in the song is just saying that a lot of people fall inlove but then don't want to deal with problems when they come up.
then the first verse talks about being young and inlove and not having a care in the world, the next verse talks about getting married and how inlove they were...
then he goes on to sing about how there is much more to love than just being inlove, and the lack of communication in their relationship was tearing them apart, because he just bottles up everything that he's been through and hides his feelings.
