This song wasn't exactly written by Brian May. It isn't as simple as that. The idea behind this song came from Mercury himself, just that he had troubles expressing it exactly as he wanted, so he asked help from May. Some times later May showed up with these, "modified" lyrics. Later of course they said that it's written by May, but as I said, it isn't as simple as that.
QueenFreak. Most of the time they didn't write lyrics together. However, on the later albums they decided to simply write it - "Lyrics: Queen" to avoid all the mess giving exact names gave. The lyrics still came from one of the four.
