Monuments And Melodies

Ever listen to a song and at first didn't like it, but slowly warmed up to it? That's how I am with this song. I was confused on the meaning of the lyrics ("You make me happy..") and how the song was done. The song gave this melancholic tone, but I didn't understand the point of "You make me happy.", it didn't make since to me. But after readin the lyrics, it does make since. The melacholic tone is due to something gone, something regretting, something missed. But, the person (highly likely female, I don't think something would be written like this to a guy.) made him feel good in the past. But he knew he couldn't see the person anymore, and missed them.

Kind of reminds me of "I Miss You", (almost) same lyrical content, but musically, different.
