My favourite Jeff Buckley song! It's just so raw and powerful!! The meaning is kinda hard to listen to because i find it very sad. "You're a slave to it all now" is such an emotional line, he must have gone through hell at times - i think he began to feel like a commodity near the end of his brief career and it annoyed him. The "happy, happy..." part at the end is actually both disturbing and funny, because it shows he could still laugh at himself yet you get a sense of 'this is just a front - oneday i'm gonna crack'.
