"A (not I) fly country girl, just workin' them gifts"
"I live for the for the feeling, the kick in the SNARE" (snout doesn't even rhyme with there)
but a pretty decent job. This song is obviously about him being too blind to see that his lifestyle would eventually cost him the girl he loved and it ultimately did.
He is lamenting back on what might have been with this girl and how she tried to tell him probably both verbally and non-verbally that his lifestyle would end up ruining their relationship. He was blind at the time to that, but now sees ("And lookin' back on it, that's exactly what she wanted") what he had and how she wanted him to be that guy but he never could.
This song has a really tight beat, I love hearing the fiddles in the background.
The lyrics are kinda butchered-
"From the broken dreams of us walkin' that AISLE"
"A (not I) fly country girl, just workin' them gifts"
"I live for the for the feeling, the kick in the SNARE" (snout doesn't even rhyme with there)
