This is my absoloute favorite JM song as of yet. I love the line "I can't be sure that this state of mind is not of my own design." Maybe some deep hurt has made him keep himself a little distant for fear of being hurt again. I love the way that he shows that you can have everything you want outside of yourself, but if you are not happy with you, all of the material things don't matter. And it's just like JM to lighten the mood a little with the line about the batteries at the end.
