I saw Iron & Wine play live in the Union Chapel in Islington and there was a beautiful intimacy. But through all the delicate emotions Iron & Wine brought out in me, this by far was the most profound, I'm not sure why but 'faded from winter' made me shiver all over, and made my eyes well up. You've got to see Iron & Wine live to know what I'm talking about, even if you don't care what I'm talking about, you should see them live anyway. That feeling you feel when you listen to Samuel Beam do his thing on 'sea & rhythm', 'the creek drank the cradle' or 'our endless numbered days', it's times by ten live. Beautiful, simply beautiful.
