this part reminds me of someone who is hiding somthing, maybe its about losing a lover due to hidden things, secrets. maybe he was scared to show the truth (praying to be found out) but he wants her to know anyway. idk i initially loved this song because i have grey blue eyes and i never heard a song about grey blue eyes before...but i think its obviously much deeper :)
