This song is either/both the beginning and/or end of March of the Black Queen - yes I realise it's track 3 on the album whereas Black Queen is track 9, but get what I'm saying here: this song is about the woman who is aloof, precious, magnificent, and the man can't have her. Black Queen, instead, is about getting this woman and finding she isn't all she appears - evil, manipulative, broody. Oh dear! You can flip it either ways and it works out - he gets her, loses her, then wants her back; or he wants her, gets her, then wants rid of the cow.
