Oh lord. I can see how the FL's wrote a song for that movie, but for god'sake, Wilco and The Shins? They must have lost some horrible bet.
The Flaming Lips were probably like, "Hey, guess what? We can write twenty songs in a minute while standing on each other's shoulders and jumping rope."
Shins/Wilco: "Pshaw. You cannot."
FL: "Can so! If we can, you have to write a song for the Spongebob movie. We are."

I saw the FL's preformance of this song on Conan O'Brian or one of those late-night shows... it was sort of lame for the FL's, I have to admit. His pink rubber boots made me sad... I don't like pink.
The FL's are invincible, though. They'll kick your ass any day.
