At first I had a hard time understanding these lyrics: "These roads are paved with plans we've made, and your headboards never felt so safe. Well they'll reach our graves, where your friends and I will kill the lights, and hide, oh what a nice suprise. "

I didn't get the "well, they'll reach our graves" But (I think) he's talking about the roads that they've paved, which is a symbolic for the road of life. And I think he's being sacastic when he says "where you friends and I will kill the lights and hide. oh, what a nice surprise" because it's like throwing a surprise death party? I guess I don't really understand that line as much as I though, but I still think it's meant to be sarcastic/ironic.

yeah. I wish someone else would post what they actually think. The "Oh, I love this song" posts really get on my nerves.
