I'm guessing it's about there's nothing left in this man's life to believe in. He is now a hollow man and has no feelings towards anything anymore. He's lost his faith. The first and second verse further support my idea on the song. "There is nothing to be done, No people to be saved." and other stuff I don't feel like typing. Very depressing in a sence, but still a very laid back song. Also, very good.
